In 2011, the venerable French design brand Ligne Roset launched the Lovey side table by Brad Ascalon. In 2012, Ascalon has reinterpreted that design for Reclaim NYC, a charity design auction that he helped to organize in collaboration with Jean Lin of Designer Pages and freelance design writer Jennifer Gorsche. With help from Ligne Roset NYC (who provided the table), Tinsman Brothers of Lumberville, PA (the oldest lumber yard in the country, dating back to 1766) who donated the wood, Kevin Michael Burns of Long Island City (who assisted in the production) and Daniel Quinn of Brooklyn (who provided his workshop for the production), this table truly symbolizes the spirit of our community and the extent to which people will come together in order to contribute toward a greater good. As a New Yorker for over thirteen years, Ascalon says there is no greater cause than lifting up this city in times of crisis.
